Using the architectural potential of distinct spaces such as parks and council estate buildings, Traces aimed at exploring and finding physical connections between body, space and time through the manipulation of a flexible and linear object like vinyl tape.
The exploitation of movement associated to the tape handling allowed the creation of various temporary installations especially made for the camera.
The tape’s distinguishing sound contributed to emphasise the movement’s directions and rhythm as well as framing the points of contact between body, tape and surroundings, stimulating a unity amongst the spaces occupied.

Traces was presented at the XV Bienal de Arte Internacional de Cerveira, Portugal, and Frame Research 09, Porto.
The piece was created in collaboration with Marcin Dudek
